Pregnant women not having the best experience is not the best.

“I did not have the best experience with the hygienist. She was very insensitive. She commented on how big I was regarding my pregnancy weeks. However, I find that going to dentists that look like you have better experiences”

One physician stated that dentistry is not their specialty, and they tend to avoid using x-rays-but believe that it is safe. “I treat Black pregnant women. However, this is not my specialty. I think it could be okay, but not too sure. We are not taught this in medical school.” 

Another physician stated: “I don’t believe that they do, “No, I do not believe X-rays harm. I tell patients that they get more X-rays from eating a banana or just walking outside in the sun.”
